Why Stucco and Stone Need a Soft Wash
Stucco is porous and more fragile than it looks. High pressure can chip the finish, open hairline cracks and force water into the wall behind it. Stone and stone veneer are tough on the surface, but the mortar and the edges of manufactured stone can be worn down by too much pressure.
Both surfaces are covered in texture, and that texture is exactly where dirt, pollen, algae and mildew settle in. A cleaning solution reaches into every gap and breaks the growth down, then the wall is rinsed with low pressure.

Can stucco be pressure washed?
It shouldn't be. High pressure can chip stucco and force water behind it. A soft wash cleans it safely.
Why is my stucco turning green or black?
That's usually algae and mildew growing in the texture, most often on shaded walls. The soft wash solution breaks it down so it rinses away.
Will cleaning damage my stone veneer?
